Coronavirus taking over all our thoughts..and rightfully so! Now is the time to think about the dirt, bacteria and GERMS in your jewelry that you can’t see. If you are wearing a bracelet, necklace, ring, earrings or watch that hasn’t been taken off and cleaned in years, NOW is the time, if ever there was one, to have them cleaned.
We often “advertise” that we clean your jewelry for free to make it look sparkly and new. But, what we don’t tell you about are all the germs we are able to clean off of your treasured pieces. If you have ever worn your rings to make a meal (like when you forget to take off your rings before you mix your ground beef for meatloaf), changed a child’s diaper or ahem–cleaned a toilet….you should run, not walk, to our store and have your jewelry cleaned. For 3-4 pieces we will do this at no charge. If you have more than that, we charge a nominal fee for the cleaning and polishing.
During our cleaning and polishing process, we will check for loose stones and make sure your clasps are in good working order. Then, your pieces take a ride buzzing around in an ultrasonic and finish with a final steam cleaning to ensure all the germs and bacteria have been removed. It usually only takes 5-10 minutes.
The next time you are making meatballs or gardening in the dirt mixing fertilizer in the soil with your rings on, think about the “things” that are collecting in the nooks and crannies of your jewelry and come on in to have them cleaned!
