An upgrade from the cal. 3130, the current calibre 3230 represents the latest and greatest in Rolex watchmaking technology. Rolex's celebrated Chronergy escapement is now incorporated into the movement, offering a much more efficient reading and a longer power reserve of up to 70 hours. The movement also includes a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring that is highly resistant to electromagnetic fields and temperature variations. The result is a luxury watch that exudes power and sophistication while offering a singularly reliable reading. The 2020 Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 124200 also features improved 904L-grade Oystersteel, a Twinlock waterproof screw-down crown, sapphire crystal, and longer-lasting Chromalight blue lume set against the radiant blue dial.
